a day in the life

of a slightly crazy woman

I'm just a girl, guess I'm some kind of freak
I am interested in theatre, public speaking, acting, teaching, and eventually plan to work with art and Alzheimer's patients.

Who I am: 26/pansexual/feminist/activist/cook/artist/genderqueer[/androgyne/unknown/neither]/student/awesome.

I come from an abusive background. I am certified 100% Batshit Crazy, and I'm disabled. I talk about my pain a lot [I have a lot of it, chronic pain conditions are fun! /not], and I don't post as much as I always intend to.

I have made a lot of changes in my life in the last year and I'm still working out where I stand on certain things. Some things that will never change:

*I am pro-choice. If you are "pro-life"/anti-choice I doubt I will be able to be friends with you.
*I am an activist, and I'm very vocal about anti-oppression work. This involves discussions of privilege and oppression.
*I am Not!Straight. I also do not, at this time, ID as "female." Nor do I ID as "male." I don't know what I ID as, but "neither" is the best term right now.
*I will not ever tolerate victim blaming. Ever. If you can't support a victim in their hour of need then we can't be friends.

I'm generally a fun person, but there are a lot of ghosts hanging around in my brain that sometimes fuck me up.

Also, this journal is not child- or work-safe. I don't post gory pictures, but I do curse a hell of a lot, and there's often a lot of talk about sexual assault/abuse/rape/etc.

In an emergency situation, every second counts.
I participate in the LJ Abuse Emergency Contact Information First Post program.
Do you? The life you save may be your own.
